Encor consulting was established in 2002 to offer a range of environmental consultancy services.  The services offered by Encor are delivered by Tim Linnington who is an Associate Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA), Member of the Landscape Institute (MLI) and has been registered as an Environmental Auditor with IEMA/EARA since 1994.

Tim’s environmental experience spans 25 years in amenity, commercial and industrial development projects through working in Local Authority, Consultancy and Industry.  He has developed specialist expertise in environmental legislation, Environmental Management System (EMS) development and implementation, and BS EN ISO 14001 certification.

Experience in environmental licensing notably includes applications for planning permissions, discharge consents, abstraction licences, EPA 1990 authorisations (now LAPPC) and waste management licensing.  Experience also includes project management of Environmental Impact Assessments and carrying out Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments.

With over 20 years of experience in the Construction Materials, Minerals and Waste Industries he has been involved for most of this period in the development of EMS and the internal audit programmes, as well as training managers, internal auditors and maintaining ISO 14001 certification.  Through his work on the Safety, Health and Environment management systems Tim also has a detailed knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.

Tim has been involved in environmental audit work since 1992 ranging from audits against site licences, issue based audits such as oil storage facilities to site audits for ISO 14001 certification.  He has delivered environmental solutions for quarry and landfill developments, award winning restoration schemes and expert advice in pollution prevention and control.
